Chamber member Phil Gary Enterprises recently worked its way into the Japanese market selling 30,000 of its pocket-sized binoculars. "This deal is a direct result of the efforts of the Chamber's International Trade Development Office," said Phil Gary, president of the company. "They instructed me on how to advertise to this market and assisted with the World Trade Center Computer Network." Gary said working out the Japanese deal was tedious, but he now has a good rapport with the nation. The firm was also recently informed that it received nearly four times as many inquiries as other companies at a recent USA Catalog Exhibit in Moscow. Gary hired a Georgia-based catalog trade show company to represent his product line as the trade show. Phil Gary Enterprises topped all other exhibitors with 138 inquiries. According to USA Catalog Exhibits, the average number of inquiries received by each firm was 39. |
