Mr. T. Kojima and Mr. Gunji of Tokyo were in Columbus recently to get a first-hand look at Gary's operations. Gary said he originally sent the two a videotaped demonstration of the tire seal product. After seeing the tape, Kojima and Gunji decided to visit the United States and see the product first hand. While in the U.S., the two toured the product's manufacturing plant in Houston and Gary's offices here in Columbus. Gary's company, Phil Gary Enterprises USA, is an export management company representing 10 manufacturers. Gary said the tire seal product is a perfect fit for the Japanese, whose primary modes of transportation are bicycles and motor scooters. Upon their return to Tokyo, the two businessmen decided to infiltrate the entire transportation market from bicycles to automobiles to heavy machinery. Gary said he has received countless hours of support and assistance from the Chamber's international trade department over the past few years. "For the past three years, the Chamber's international trade staff has answered my every question and has exhibited a lot of patience," Gary said. |
